Rustam Minnikhanov: «We can achieve even greater success only together in a united and strong society»

<p> The ceremonial events to mark the inauguration of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took place in Kazan. The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Marat Khusnullin, Presidential Envoy in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov and the Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Alexander Babakov attended the ceremony. The event was also attended by representatives of the Russian government, heads of friendly countries and other officials. </p> <p> The solemn ceremony began with the introductory speech of the Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin who welcomed participants and honorary guests of the event – the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, participants of the special military operation, the Tatarstan State Councilor Mintimer Shaimiev. </p> <p> After Constitutions of Russia and Tatarstan and colors of the Rais of the republic were brought in into the hall and took the oath of allegiance to the people of Tatarstan and to Constitutions of Russia and the republic. Then Farid Mukhametshin solemnly announced that Rustam (Nurgalievich) Minnikhanov took office as Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and congratulated him and gave flowers. </p> <p> Congratulatory telegramms came from the Leader of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov, from the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of the Republic of Abkhazia Badra Gunba, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matveenko and others. </p>
